This manufacturer needed high-quality photographs of their filtration control system to use on their product support website, as well as for future use in product sales literature. Regal Eye was hired to turnkey the project: take the product photos, and design and build the website (see related story). 

The controller features a large backlit display screen which is key to programming and operation of the system, along with a keypad and indicating lights. This product is built within an environmentally sealed NEMA case, which contains a window to view the display and indicating lights.

From the start, it was clear that the display and lights were a key aspect of the image and would need to be perfectly readable. The details of the product case were equally important and would need to be clearly defined as well.

For the final images, we utilized two separate exposures that were combined using digital image editing. One for the housing and one for the display. This was necessary since illuminating the housing for the best exposure would wash out the display image.

The resulting images have a completely natural appearance, virtually identically to viewing the product in person. Their use on the website provided a quality experience for the user, providing a positive perception of the company and reinforcing their buying decision.
